If you are new to Okino and our software then please take a moment to read this page about what has made our software's usage so wide spread throughout the 3D industry. Okino's core and founding philosophy has been "one to one" personal customer relations and support, an often overlooked and neglected aspect of today's software industry.
Our software is used throughout the world by tens of thousands of 3D professionals in
mission & production critical environments, backed by respectable personal support directly from
our core development team.
Do you need professional, educated and open answers to your 3D data translation problems, but haven't found someone with the right answers? If so, please feel free to send email to Robert Lansdale (our CEO and founder). Robert can draw on 20 years of data translation, animation & rendering development for all major 3D CAD and animation packages, as well as from previous customer feedback, to provide you with fast, friendly & accurate answers.
Okino Products - Now in 20th Year of Development
For more than a decade and a half Okino has set the standards and provided
the toolsets to translate & re-purpose complex data assemblies and scenes
between all major CAD, DCC (animation) and VisSim packages. Whether you
need bidirectional 3D animation/gaming/multi-media conversions, or the
re-purposing of large CAD assemblies into your favorite animation/VisSim
package (Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, Cinema-4D, Lightwave, MultiGen's Creator
and many others), we have the solid and robust solutions available now,
used by tens of thousands of industry professionals just like yourself.
as well as native conversions for Lightwave, Softimage and dozens more.
NuGraf is Okino's primary software product. For $100 extra it contains
all the functionality of PolyTrans in addition to full material & texture
editing, an extensive lens flare system, a sunlight study/calculation plug-in system,
photon mapped based caustics, multi-threaded ray tracing, interactive
texture projections, font creation and much more. It is the preferred
solution unless you only need to run PolyTrans inside 3ds Max or Maya.
Since 1988 Okino has been developing an extensive series of APIs that allow third party developers to easily write new plug-in modules for
Okino's NuGraf and PolyTrans products. These are highly developed and documented, made available to third party developers by way of the "Okino Plug-Ins SDK". Using the SDK, a wide variety of plug-in module types can be created, from import converters, export converters and "System Level" plug-in modules. Click here to view the current list of Okino plug-in modules developed and distributed by third party developers.
Qualified developers can also easily make PolyTrans converter functionality accessible within their own 3D programs by way of the Okino PolyTrans!ProServer COM interface SDK. Well established bundling and resale opportunities are available to such developers.
The NuGraf Developer’s 3D Toolkit is a drop in solution for OEM software vendors seeking to incorporate high quality 3D computer graphics into existing or new software applications. The toolkit provides "photo-realistic" scanline and ray trace renderers, primitive modeling and database management, coordinate space mapping, object and polygon picking, color space mapping for images, automatic smoothing and processing of raw polygonal data, and more. All Okino software, and the Okino plug-in SDK, are based upon the NuGraf Developer’s 3D Toolkit. The PolyTrans 3D converters are layered on top of this toolkit and are made available to developers using a different licensing model (see previous paragraph above).
